The Master Class
Sunday - 9:30-10:30
The Master Class is children's Sunday School with a spin! Children Kindergarten through 5th grade explore core Bible stories through several mediums over the course of three weeks. Each grade cluster is guided by a shepherd who leads them to a different workshop each of the three weeks.
The Workshops are:
- Movies and the Master
- Visual media brings to life the lessons of the Bible and meets kids where they are. Students will enjoy watching movies and digging into them as they chill out under the stars with a bag of popcorn!
- Master Strokes Studio
- allows children the opportunity to express their understanding of the story through a variety of art mediums.
- Master.COM
- presents the lessons through interactive Bible games and computer challenges.
- Master Peace Theater
- brings Bible stories and lessons to life in this workshop as children experience the story through the use of drama, pantomime and puppets.
- Master Mind Games
- not only teaches the Bible story, but this games workshop emphasizes where and how to find the story, biblical geography, biblical culture.
Current Rotation: The Moses Cycle followed by Holy Week
Master Class is in the midst of the Moses cycle. In February, we will be doing “Moses: Plagues and Passover” then segue into the roots of our Communion Meal. We will spend the first couple of weeks in March with the “Parting of the Red Sea” and then finish with a rotation on Holy Week.
