Lay Ministries
The lay persons in our congregation play a vital role in our Church's ministries, not only to members of our congregation, but also to the community of Westerville and other central Ohio communities. Each October, we honor the contributions of the lay people in our minstries on Laity Sunday.
This year, in preparation for Laity Sunday on October 19th, our lay leader, Larry Gabel, has asked the congregation to support the Free Wheelchair Mission, a organization dedicated to providing free wheelchairs to physically disabled poor in developing countries. Throughout the year, Larry will be challenging the congregation to raise money in support of this mission and he has invited Don Schoendorfer, the founder of this mission, to be our lay speaker on October 19th.
