Youth Group

Upcoming Events for the Youth

Our youth meet weekly throughout the school year. Ultimately is it our goal that the youth will find and strengthen their personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ. Together we will love, grow, and serve through study, outreach, fun, and worship.

Sunday Evenings
New for the 2011-2012 School Year

Our youth program is growing! We now have youth representing grades 6-12 for the first time in several years. It’s now time to create a new youth schedule that allows the middle school and high school youth to have separate times for youth programming as well as combined time for worship and fellowship time. The youth council created this schedule back in the spring and shared it with the youth and their parents at our Youth family picnic in May. It is our hope and prayer that this will take the youth experience to a new level. In mid- November we will evaluating the schedule to see what needs to be tweaked. We are asking youth to bring $2/week to cover the cost of dinner.

Time Middle School High School
4:30-5:30 p.m. Youth Fellowship Time Praise Team or Games (optional)
5:30-6:00 p.m. Dinner Dinner
6:00-6:45 p.m. En Fuego En Fuego
6:45-7:45 p.m. Games/Interest groups(optional) Youth Fellowship time

We created this schedule to help parents out, requiring them to only have to drop off/pick up one time on a Sunday evening. Middle school youth are welcome to only come from 4:30-6:45 p.m. and high school from 5:30-7:45 p.m. if they do not want to participate in the optional pieces. Once a month we will have a fun event that will happen as a combined event during the scheduled time. En Fuego will happen on either end of the event.

En Fuego is the name of our NEW youth focused worship experience. En Fuego is a Spanish term meaning “on fire”. In 2 Timothy 1:6 says, “For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you…”

We want this youth worship experience to light souls on fire. We will worship in a variety of ways and even in different locations from time to time. All so that we can experience our faith in new and meaningful ways.

The Youth Group is open to all youth of the community.  Come join us and bring a friend! For more information contact Bev Pancoast at the Church Office, at 614-882-2153 or via email at nextgen@chmaster.org.

Be sure to make sure that your medical and consent forms have been submitted to participate in the activities. Some events are held off-site or at different times.

Upcoming Youth Events

Thursday, February 9, 2012 - 6:30pm - 7:00pm

The middle school youth will start the year off with Wild Truths about Jesus. Last year's "Dares from Jesus" was a great hit among the middle school youth so we’re sure this one will be as well! Led by Megan and Leslie.

Thursday, February 9, 2012 - 6:30pm - 7:00pm

In the fashion of a Chrysalis share group, we will meet weekly to look at where we’ve been closest to Christ and farthest from Christ in our weeks as well as answer the question “How is it with your soul?” All youth in grades 9-12 are welcome. Previous participation in Chrysalis is not a requirement. Led by Bev.
