YOUth Fellowship - Just for YOU!
Fellowship Hall (Downstairs)
Every Sunday at 4 p.m.
Youth Fellowship's mission is to share the love and truth of Jesus with young people by encouraging them to cultivate and nurture a genuine spiritual life, helping them experience His presence and power, and accompanying them in the challenges of living as true disciples. Using the language that youth understand, our meetings, programs and events seek to be prayerful, relevant, contemporary and dynamic.
The Youth Fellowship ministry is event based throughout the year as we remain flexible and responsive to the needs and schedules of our youth. Youth Fellowship provides a fun, safe, spiritual, mission conscious environment in which youth will grow in their faith and service to their church and their community. Highlights during year include:
- Faith Formation, Discipleship, Leadership Development & Youth Relationships
- Sr. & Jr. High Sunday School: Every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. the youth (7th – 12th grade) delve into an unforgettable journey in the bible. Games, activities and reenactments enlighten and encourage!
- Youth Sunday: Each year our youth plan and lead worship in both services. They prepare and lead every aspect of worship including the music, prayers and sermon as well as greeting members, and taking the offering.
- Overnight Lock-Ins: These events focus upon a theme and include an activity, discussion, worship and reflection, large group games, free time and our famous Pig in the Pen - a hide and seek game loved by all youth.
- Special Events: These events include miniature golf, movies, amusement parks, skating, and Youth JAM.
- Mission Projects: Reach Workcamp is our main service project. We do a number of fund raising events throughout the year in order to send a group of youth and adults to a Workcamp. Reach encourages workcamp participants to adopt a lifestyle of serving those in need in their communities. Projects include basic weatherization, painting, roofing, drywall, repair and construction. Other local mission projects have included visiting the nursing homes, and serving at the soup kitchens.
Youth Fellowship is open to all youth of the community. The youth meet every Sunday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for youth in the 7th – 12th grade. Refreshments are served and youth are to bring $2. Come join us and bring a friend! For more information contact Youth Director, Miss Armstead at 614-202-5985 or via email at cecearmstead@sbcglobal.net.
