Youth Fellowship's mission is to share the love and truth of Jesus with young people by encouraging them to cultivate and nurture a genuine spiritual life, helping them experience His presence and power, and accompanying them in the challenges of living as true disciples. Using the language that youth understand, our meetings, programs and events seek to be prayerful, relevant, contemporary and dynamic.
The Youth Fellowship ministry is event based throughout the year as we remain flexible and responsive to the needs and schedules of our youth. Youth Fellowship provides a fun, safe, spiritual, mission conscious environment in which youth will grow in their faith and service to their church and their community. Highlights during year include:
- Faith Formation, Discipleship, Leadership Development & Youth Relationships
- Sr. & Jr. High Sunday School: Every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. the youth (7th – 12th grade) delve into an unforgettable journey in the bible. Games, activities and reenactments enlighten and encourage!
- Youth Sunday: Each year our youth plan and lead worship in both services. They prepare and lead every aspect of worship including the music, prayers and sermon as well as greeting members, and taking the offering.
- Overnight Lock-Ins: These events focus upon a theme and include an activity, discussion, worship and reflection, large group games, free time and our famous Pig in the Pen - a hide and seek game loved by all youth.
- Special Events: These events include miniature golf, movies, amusement parks, skating, and Youth JAM.
- Mission Projects: Reach Workcamp is our main service project. We do a number of fund raising events throughout the year in order to send a group of youth and adults to a Workcamp. Reach encourages workcamp participants to adopt a lifestyle of serving those in need in their communities. Projects include basic weatherization, painting, roofing, drywall, repair and construction. Other local mission projects have included visiting the nursing homes, and serving at the soup kitchens.
Youth Fellowship is open to all youth of the community. The youth meet every Sunday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. for youth in the 7th – 12th grade. Refreshments are served and youth are to bring $2. - May 17th
- Youth Sunday Rehearsal from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary
- May 18th
- Join us for Youth Sunday – Worship with the Youth at 8:30 & 11:00 a.m. services. Also, high school seniors will be recognized during these services. If you are a graduate or know of a graduate please email Miss Armstead (cecearmstead@sbcglobal.net) the following information along with a photo by May 1st:
- Graduate Name, High School, Name of Parent/Guardian or family at Church of the Master
- Short Bio, College/Career Plans
- Any other information that you would like to share
- May 18th
- Youth Fellowship – 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. Youth will fellowship with friends at Friendship Village of Columbus Assisted Living Center from 4:00 – 6:00 located at 5675 Ponderosa Drive. We will meet at the center in the lobby at 3:45 p.m. Please confirm your participation with Miss Armstead.

- June 1st
- Confirmation Brunch aft 11:00 a.m. worship service. Join us for a delicious brunch after service with Confirmands. Proceeds will benefit Atlanta Confirmation Retreat. Confirm your RSVP on the sign-up sheet outside the church office.

- Ascend, Aldersgate ’08 - Aldersgate Renewal Ministries invites you and your family to Go Deeper as we celebrate the 30th Aldersgate Conference. Hosted in downtown Columbus, Ohio, Aldersgate ’08 will take place at the Hyatt Regency July 2-6, 2008. The conference is built to help children, youth, young adults and adults grow in their walk with God and be strengthened and equipped to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
