Parent’s Night Out/Kids’ Night In:
Parent’s Night Out/Kids’ Night In is a once-a-month program that encourages parents to have some time away from their children while at the same time allowing the children time to deepen their relationships with their friends and God. It is usually held the first Saturday night of the month from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Children must be pre-registered for the event and the fee is $10 per child with a family cap of $25. Parents sign in and drop off their children in the Fellowship Hall and the children play games, eat supper, and watch a movie with Interim Director of Children’s Ministry, Erin Flory, during this fun night.
U2 is a program for children in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. It provides time for this age group to hang out and have fun while also strengthening their relationship with God and their peers. It is led by Erin Flory, Interim Director of Children’s Ministry and Bev Pancoast, Director of Next Generation Ministries. U2 events occur approximately every other month.
Christmas Eve Children’s Service
Church of the Master traditionally has a 5:00 pm Children’s Christmas Eve worship service. The children are active participants in telling the story of Jesus’ birth.
The children participate in and lead worship during Children’s Sabbath, which is held traditionally in the month of February each year. Most of the preparations are done during the weekly M&Ms events.
VBS/Day Camp is held every year during the summer. Vacation Bible School is a half day program for three, four and five-year-old held at the church. Day Camp is held off-site, usually at Camp Sugarbush at the Blendon Woods Metro Park, and is for rising first through fifth grade children. These programs are planned to be very creative and educational with both a high energy and high fun factor for all participants.
Club SAM (Summer Acts of Mercy) is the Church of the Master’s children’s mission programming that occurs during the summer months. It is typically during weekday mornings and provides children with fun opportunities to participate in mission work.
Please note: All children should have registration forms on file in the church office to participate in any of the Children’s Ministry programming. Registration forms can be found on this website under Resources then Forms, or in the church office. If you need to register your child or have any questions, please see the Interim Director of Children’s Ministry, Erin Flory.
