The Leadership Council consists of 12 persons composed of the Senior Pastor and 11 members of the

church, not including the position of a non-voting secretary.  The 11 members serve three-year terms in rolling succession. Persons may serve two successive three-year terms; individuals rotating off may serve again after a one-year gap. 

The LC empowers staff to manage ongoing church operations.  The LC focuses on:

• Deepening faith and growing in love and service

• Deploying resources for the larger goals of the church

• Consulting with the Senior Pastor in guiding the

congregation

• Maintaining an outward, strategic, future-focused vision

• Distinguishing clearly between LC and staff roles

• Acting proactively rather than reactively

The LC will meet bimonthly on the third Monday of that month, unless more frequent meetings are needed.

Open Meetings: All LC meetings are open to members of the congregation, except during the Staff/Parish portion of the meeting.
